Founded in 2006 in Washington, D.C., CulinaryCorps is the nation's first service organization designed specifically for culinary professionals to volunteer their professional skills and tackle some of America's most critical food challenges, such as: emergency hunger relief; cooking and nutrition education; and healthy food access.  The Markham Mark of Distinction grant would suppot the organization's Cooking on the Gulf Coast Program, which brings seasoned culinary professionals to launch an 8-week "Cooking at the Club" curriculum that transforms Mississippi recipes into lessons on cooking, community and healthy eating habits.
