About The Program

With a long history in Napa Valley winemaking, Markham Vineyards recognizes the significance of its roots and believes in honoring the experiences and connections that shape us as individuals and organizations. That core philosophy is the inspiration behind the Mark of Distinction, a program now in its fourth year that empowers people to give back to their communities.

“The impressive and altruistic efforts put forth by our Mark of Distinction grant recipients continue to inspire me year after year,” said Markham President Bryan Del Bondio. “We look forward to continuing this tradition in 2011 by once again awarding grants to worthy community projects designed to make a difference.”

Markham Vineyards is dedicated to helping make lasting improvements in communities by awarding grants to individuals making a "Mark of Distinction" in their neighborhoods, cities or towns.  The 2011 Mark of Distinction grant recipients are East Side Heart & Home and Operation: Connect Kids to the Outdoors.  You can read about these two organizations and all of our past recipients on the "Making Thier Mark" page.
